Here are a list of frequently asked questions to help you along with finding your dream dress.
Q. How long does a wedding dress take to order in?
A. Ordering times depend on the designer and the time of year. Dresses can take up to 20 weeks to arrive into the shop, but in some cases can arrive up to a month earlier.
Q. Can I still get a dress if I have less than 6 months to my wedding?
A. Yes, we have large selection of ex-sample dresses available to buy off the peg that we will have cleaned and re-beaded ready for your wedding. There are also several dresses available to order on ‘priority’, which means they should arrive in 12 weeks, and we have large lists of spare stock available in as little as 4 weeks.
Q. Do I need to book to try on wedding dresses?
A. We do accept walk ins and will do our best to accommodate all customers but to get the best out of a visit to the shop a booking is advisable.
Q. How long is my appointment for?
A. During the week, appointments can last longer but Saturday appointments are limited to an hour. We do suggest arriving 15 minutes before your appointment on Saturdays to have a look at our extensive range of dresses and pick out those you would like to try on.
Q. How many people can I bring to my appointment?
A. Again, during the week we can accommodate more guests but we do ask that for Saturday appointments you limit guests to three.
Q. What size are your sample dresses?

Q. When ordering my dress do I need to pay in full?
A. On the day you place the order for your wedding dress we ask for a half deposit to enable us to order the dress for you. The full balance of the dress is then due 6 months after, or at your 1st fitting, depending which comes first. We cannot complete any alterations before the dress is paid for in full.
Q. How long before my wedding do I need to come for my fittings?
A. We suggest the 1st fitting takes place 8 weeks before your wedding date. A 2nd fitting is then done 4 weeks before your wedding to make sure the alterations are correct and to fix any last minute alterations. Please note if you are actively losing weight we suggest leaving the fittings until as close to the wedding date as possible and we do suggest you try not to lose weight after your 1st fitting has taken place.
Q. Are the alterations free?
A. No, the alterations are completed by our in house seamstresses and we charge for how long the alterations take. At the second fitting we will be able to tell you how much your alterations are going to cost.
Q. Do I need to bring anything to my fitting?
A. You need to bring your bridal shoes to your fitting so that when we adjust your hem length it is with the correct shoe height. We also suggest having you hair the way you are planning to on your wedding day so you can try the veils and headresses if you wish.
