Here are a list of frequently asked questions to help you along with finding your dream dress.

Q. Do the dresses get ordered?

A. At Aristocrats of Chester we are selling ex-sample wedding dresses at massively reduced prices so there is no need to order. Dresses can be purchased immediately with no need to order and prices start from as little as £100. However, the shop closes on 24th December so please book now to avoid disappointment.

Q. Do I need to book to try on wedding dresses?
A. We do accept walk ins and will do our best to accommodate all customers but to get the best out of a visit to the shop booking is advisable, plus opening times may vary from those shown on the website.

Q. How long is my appointment for?
A. During the week, appointments can last longer but Saturday/Sunday appointments are limited to an hour. We do suggest arriving 15 minutes before your appointment to have a look at our extensive range of dresses and pick out those you would like to try on.

Q. How many people can I bring to my appointment?
A. We can accommodate up to six guests, but we do recommend that you limit guests to around three due to conflicting opinions offered sometimes being confusing.

Q. What size are your dresses?
A. We hold a wide range of sizes from 10-24, all sizes are shown on the website. Please note bridal sizing is slightly different from high street. Dresses can often be sized down 2-3 sizes depending on style.

Q. What are your opening times?
A. Our opening times do vary but usually they are: Monday – CLOSED, Tuesday – 9.30-5.00, Wednesday – 9.30-5.00, Thursday – CLOSED, Friday – 9.30-5.00, Saturday – 9.00-5.00, Sunday – 9.00-5.00.We always recommend booking an appointment to guarantee you are able to try dresses on.

Q. When buying my dress do I need to pay in full?
A. Due to the shop closing, full payment is required on purchase of your dress, and collection needs to be before 24th December. As the dresses are reduced by up to 85% no cleaning or repairs will be completed. However, we do have vouchers for reduced price dry cleaning at a local store should your dress require it.

Q. How long before my wedding do I need to start fittings?
A. We suggest the 1st fitting takes place 6-8 weeks before your wedding date. We are unable to complete alterations in house but can recommend local Bridal Seamstresses you can take your dress to who can complete any work that needs doing.

Q. What Designers do you stock?
A. We stock dresses from Maggie Sottero, Sottero & Midgley, Rebecca Ingram, Mark Lesley, Lou Lou, White Rose and Sophia & Camilla. To view our bridal dresses click here

Q. Do you have a car park?
A. As we are based in the town centre we do not have our own car park. There are however several close pay and display car parks within walking distance from the shop, some of which are free after 3pm.

Q. When can I pick up my dress?
A. We are happy to keep your dress until 24th December but it must be collected by this date. You can pick your dress up from outside the shop between 9.30 and 10.30am or 4.30 and 5.00pm by parking in the loading bay area.

Q. Do you sell bridesmaid dresses?
A. Due to the shop closing in Decemer we are currently selling our ex-sample bridesmaid dresses off the peg. Everything is under £40. We are no longer able to order new dresses unfortunately.

Q. Do you sell Prom dresses?
A. We have a rail of ex-sample bridesmaid dresses that can be purchased for Prom, everything is under £40. Great bargain!

Q. Do you sell mother of the bride outfits?
A. We have a range of mother of the bride outfits to buy off the peg from John Charles and Mascara all at £50 each.

Q. Do you sell accessories?
A. We sell petticoats, veils, headdresses, garters and jewellery to complete your wedding day look all reduced to clear.
